Emancipation Introduction

Have you been crucified with Christ? Romans 6:5-7 (New American Standard Bible)

5For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,
6knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;
7for he who has died is freed from sin.

This is one of the most important keys to freedom. Ironically, many people will try to keep you from carrying your cross. (Matthew 10:34-39) Some people, because they care about you, some because they fear your freedom. Free people cannot be controlled or manipulated. Not by people, situations or circumstances. Free people walk with zero fear. They know that God is in control and they stay connected with Him. It is time for God’s people to walk in resurrection power. Have you been crucified with Christ?

Resurrection power is on the other side of the cross. It comes only after we have died to ourselves. When we let go of any plans to do things ourselves and give Him the reins of our life. What He may do next may look completely terrifying. You may have never imagined your life to be so chaotic or poor. However, if you want to be where Jesus is, you must walk where He walked and hang where He hung. Religion tells us that we don’t have to suffer because He did it for us. That is true, we don’t, but how far do we want to go with Him? Do we
want only to get to heaven or are do we desire for the kingdom of God to come alive through us? I am not going to write to you like you are an A-typical church going Christian. I am writing to you like the powerful man or woman of God you are. You are the one who is going to do “greater works than this” as Jesus said in John 14:12. We will be talking about so many things in this book. One of those things covered will be how religion is designed to keep you in bondage. It always talks down to you as if you are just a parishioner and not a mighty force for God. Church leaders fear that if you walk in the purposes of God, you will not need them anymore. This is only partially true. We are the body of Christ, and that means that we do need each other. Like our physical body, we need each other to sustain life and to function. However, many pastors are not thinking of this fact when they reach out to clutch you back in to their fold. They may be thinking of your tithes and offerings leaving, and not you. They may be thinking of your relied upon services for the church, such as teaching a class or making repairs on the building. Next, we will be attacking the manipulation of those who play on your emotions. Those leaders who would dare to hype you up so that you give your last dollar. We will be putting tithes and offerings into their proper perspective.

We are going way past man’s ideals (religion) and moving into the truth of God. This truth makes you free! For centuries, the so-called church and world systems have tried to keep this from us. Well we can praise the Lord because their day is over! There are self-proclaimed leaders who feel it is their job to be stewards of God’s mysteries. Twisting scripture so it sounds how they want it to, keeping you in line. It is time for us to escape from our captors. The Bible says in 2 Kings 19:31 that a remnant will escape from Mount Zion. This world is finally about to see the difference between God’s people and the modern day Pharisees who are everywhere. The real battle is not God’s people vs. the lost. It is God’s people vs. the counterfeit. God’s truth is manifesting all over the world. Religious leaders cannot explain it away. The church system and the world are scrambling to regain control of what they never had control of to begin with. God has always been in control. He’s patient in waiting for and desiring our repentance. The glory of God is filling the earth. That is the shaking that we see taking place. God is bringing exposure, not to embarrass, but to give us the opportunity to repent. I recommend that we do it before it’s declared from the housetops (Luke 12:1-3). He is the one who makes the crocked paths straight. He takes the pain and makes it a badge of honor. He is the only one who can do that. He takes our pains and hurts and turns them into seeds. Those seeds are literally the harvest of the ministry He calls us into. What the enemy meant for evil, God has turned into goodness in our lives. This process is known as maturing. We must move from the simplicity of being children of God. We allow ourselves to be molded and shaped into the more mature sons and daughters of God. Daily we are manifesting the Kingdom of God.

Maturing into sons and daughters of God certainly sounds good. It is what most Christians desire, however the pain of this process can be paralyzing. The sad truth is that most people will not go after their God given gift of freedom. The pain of change can be greater than the pain of not changing. Unfortunately, only a small few, a remnant if you will, are willing to go through the process to see this change to the end. This is why “freedom is a road seldom traveled by the multitude.” Instead, let us embrace this beautiful struggle also known as “the cross”. As we grow and move forward in this journey, the Lord will anoint us to count it all joy. Many Christians do not know of this beautiful grace. They have not stayed on this path long enough to find it. This grace allows our faith to grow and our patience to become perfected. God’s truth is transforming us into living resurrected beings. This is the image of God, which we were made to reflect on the earth. Let us journey to renew our minds in the truth, that we will be transformed into the perfect love beings we were fashioned to be (Matthew 5:48).
