7 Areas of Breakthrough

4. Devotional Breakthrough

Devotional breakthroughs are our breakthroughs in our relationship with God. In our devotional lives we must learn to touch the heart of God in more ways than one. We also learn to be entertained with His presence and to be satisfied with Him alone. As we grow in maturity and center our lives on God, we begin to enjoy an audience of One. We read the bible for enjoyment and not for sermons or better preaching. The more time we spend with Him like that, the easier it is to find the place in His heart that excites Him. When we can get Him excited, rather then trying to excite those around us or even ourselves, He will come unto us. God wants us to want Him for Him. Sometimes all we want is His anointing or what He has in His hand. Our Father is so full of goodness and mercy that He will give it, but we will never enter into His secret place. Never reaching the secret place means never reaching your destiny. I believe that is why ultimately He will only answer prayers from the secret place. If us not reaching our destiny means Him saying no, He will say no. This is why we need breakthroughs in our devotional lives. It saturates the presence of God around us allowing us easy access into the heart of God. This must absolutely be in the lives of intercessors. When we go to God in pure love, He will answer prayers before we can pray them. That leads to powerful intercession. Intercessors can change the mind of God. Remember when He told Moses that He was going to destroy the people? Moses’ love and intercession changed God’s mind. The way we show our love in prayer is when we go to Him for others. Living sacrifices are the most powerful beings on earth. Are you willing to be one?
